“We have both loved classic VW’s since we were teenagers. Neil has restored a Mark One Golf and Marisa’s first car was a 1972 Beetle. Our mutual dream of owning an old camper was one of the first discussions when we met! Two years later a Crossover Bay Window in dire need of some TLC came home with us. 8 months and a lot of hard work later with an MOT pass and Busfest tickets in hand we were finally able to start having adventures. This was also the first time that we saw a glawning and it immediately went to the top of our wish list.
We took the plunge purchasing one at Stanford Hall in May 2017 and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We were still using the van and our glawning right through to the end of October, even the howling winds and torrential rain in the Lake District couldn’t stop us. It was wonderful having the log burner keeping us warm and cosy. Our glawning has made time in our Camper even better!
So now we have joined the team as Glambassadors… we seem to spend so much time when we are away showing people around the glawning and referring them on to James & Sarah so we are excited to be involved officially!
We can’t wait to share our Glawning experience with you. We’ll talk you though the full range, how easy it is to set up and create your own little glamorous glawning paradise.”
"We absolutely love glamping in our glawning so much that we would be quite happy to live in it all year round. We’ve never had so much attention! And it’s a great place for chilling with all our friends! But best of all we love how beautiful you can make it look inside which is our favourite bit. We spend hours decorating ours, so it looks cosy and welcoming and there’s no other feeling like it! Pure contentment! We find ourselves raving on about how it has been the best awning we have ever owned (and we have owned many), so the transition to becoming Glambassadors was a natural one for us. We are very proud and honoured to be Glambassadors and representatives for a wonderful brand."
"We are Stuart (aka Mitch!) and Serena Mitchinson. We have been happy glawning-owners for 6 months now and it has transformed our time away with our beloved Bongo camper. Originally just ‘fair weather’ campers we have found that we can now venture away in the coldest of conditions. In fact, Christmas was happily spent opening presents around the stove and then cooking our Christmas meal on it. We are looking forward to spreading the Glawning message far and wide!"
"A few years ago, we decided to blow our savings on an air-cooled camper. A little while & a trip to the New Forest later, a 1976 bay window named Dino (off the Flintstones!) came home with us. After a lot of time spent at the restos, a full mechanical overhaul & a new engine later, we are off on our travels & adventures!
For us, using our glawning creates treasured times & you never want to pack it away! You can really make your glawning so cosy & individual with lots of personal touches; being inside the natural canvas space with it's gorgeous light coming through makes you feel happy.
Becoming a Glambassador to showcase the glawning is a dream come true for us, we feel really fortunate to be representing Sarah & James' amazing product & having the opportunity to show people how much fun a glawning can be. We love our van, we love being outdoors with our dogs, & we love chatting to other enthusiasts. Come in for a cuppa & tell us your tales if you are at a show down in the South West, we can't wait to meet you!"
“Having served 21 years in the military, I have slept under the stars on many occasions all over the world. I have always had a passion for the outdoors and camping in particular.
Owning a campervan has been amazing for my fiancée and me; we really thought we had it all until Dubs in’t Dales 2014 where we met James, Sarah and the glawning. We fell in love with the glawning in a big way. We love to camp and chat to people about our adventures over a glass of wine in front of the fire.
We look forward to meeting you wonderful people this summer.”
“Jo and I met online and have been together now for six years. We first ventured into the camping scene by accident when Jo excitedly purchased tickets to see Jack Johnson at the Somersault festival in North Devon. Not realising she'd purchased camping tickets, which then led to us getting Matilda (our campervan) from a little place in Norfolk and bringing her back to Kent.
I run my own loft conversion business and Jo is a civil servant. We are currently in process of build our first house together which is an adventure in itself.
We welcome our escapes that Matilda gives us as well as loving the freedom of the VW camper life.”
"We absolutely love the great outdoors and have camped, owned a caravan, and now are the proud owners of Dusty the 1976 VW Camper. The icing on the cake to our adventures was buying the glawning. The space it creates and of course the log burner has extended our family weekends and holidays, camping right up to October.
We spend so much time in the glawning it’s like home from home with all the extra touches we put in. That is why we decided to become Glambassadors as we love to show people around and have a chat around the fire about the great benefits of owning a glawning. We look forward to meeting you in a field somewhere!"
"We started our camper van adventures in 2018 when we purchased our much loved camper Scarlett JoVanson. After a few trial and errors with various awnings and set ups we wanted something that would provide us with plenty of space and look cool. We stumbled across Glawning and instantly fell in love with it and after purchasing one we have never looked back. From short breaks to family holidays to Cornwall our Glawning has had plenty of use and from this we decided we wanted to be part of this amazing company with a more amazing product. "
