Back in September 2021, Glawning enjoyed a moment in the national spotlight when The Sun published a travel-feature all about the joy of glawning and why it’s fast becoming one of the UK’s most loved ways to holiday outdoors. We were only too thrilled to oblige when a travel journalist came a-knocking! The article HERE introduced readers to our unique canvas drive-away awning — a hybrid between glamorous camping and traditional awning setups — and highlighted just how accessible and enjoyable it is to transform a campervan trip into a stylish outdoor escape. "Surprisingly easy" in fact.
The piece struck a chord with readers by focusing on how easy it is to set up a Glawning (about 20 minutes!) with the help of our simple instruction video and a bit of enthusiasm from friends or family. This practical insight helped demystify the idea of glamping for many, showing that luxury outdoor living doesn’t need to be complicated and it's merely a case of "pimp up the tent with fairy lights, chairs and cushions and it’s instantly a bright, inviting space which would satisfy the most discerning glamper."
