Most-asked questions
Classic poled Glawning or GlawningAIR: which should I choose?Choosing your Glawning
Both are 200gsm polycotton bell-tent awnings that take one person around 15 minutes to pitch. The Classic is the stronger choice for exposed, windy sites. The GlawningAIR inflates instead of using poles and has more head height around the edges thanks to its more vertical walls.

The 4m comfortably sleeps around 4 adults and the 5m around 6. The 4m is lighter and fits smaller pitches. The 5m gives you noticeably more floor space and a 3m centre height.

Yes. You can see one at the shows we attend, or in Northern Ireland by appointment. We publish our list of shows at the start of each year.

With a van, the 4m needs about 7m (across the front) by 6m, and the 5m about 8m by 7m. The Classic figures assume you're using reducer poles; without them, add about a metre each way.

Measure from the ground straight up to your awning rail, or wherever the canopy will connect. Between about 1.7m and 2.1m you need the standard canopy. Between about 2.4m and 2.7m you need the high roof canopy.

Choose by the height of your connection point: standard for about 1.7m to 2.1m, high roof for about 2.4m to 2.7m. The slim canopy is for connecting to the back of a car or 4x4. Classic and AIR canopies aren't interchangeable.

Before your first trip, check everything has arrived, do a practice pitch at home, and if you can, let it get rained on and dry out to weather the canvas. Have a look through the videos for your model too.

Peg out the base, inflate it through one of the three valves to about 4 to 5 PSI, then peg out and tension the guy ropes. One person can do it in around 15 minutes.

4 to 5 PSI is usually enough. In windy weather, raise it to around 7 PSI. In hot weather, keep it at the lower end, because the air expands as it warms up.

Our current stoves are the Glow, the Vista and the Vista Sista. They all use a 60mm flue and fit the stove jack on every current Glawning. The Gloven is being discontinued once the final units have sold.
