Six Inches of Snow, One Epic Campervan & a Whole Lot of Glamping: 2025 at Glawning
2025… What a Year!
As the year winds down, we’ve been having a proper look back at what’s been a huge 12 months here at Glawning. From snow and sunshine to prize draws, festivals and a few emotional moments along the way, 2025 has certainly kept us on our toes. Here are the highlights, month by month…
January
We kicked off the year by throwing our brand-new GlawningAIR straight in at the deep end — testing it in six inches of snow at Ivy Bank Campsite. Brave? Maybe. Sensible? Questionable. Successful? Absolutely! It performed brilliantly and came through with flying colours.

January also saw the launch of our gorgeous new centre pole tables, all handmade in-house using our shiny new CNC machine — and yes, we’re a little bit in love with them.
On a more personal note, the new year brought some incredibly welcome news: James’s mum had successful surgery to remove a bowel cancer tumour. It was an enormous relief for all of us and something we were hugely thankful for at the start of the year.
February
We spent a brilliant week at the NEC, officially launching the GlawningAIR to the masses and welcoming lots of new Glawning owners into the family. It was fantastic to see so many familiar — and new — faces.

March
Our epic van prize draw came to an end, giving away a fully converted, high-spec MAN TGE campervan. The lucky Mr Landzhov from Birmingham won big on a single £6.99 ticket — which still blows our minds!

April
April was busy!
We were back at Johnny Vegas’ Field of Dreams Glampsite, setting up Glawnings on his incredible restored vehicles ready for another season of glampers. We’ve worked with Johnny’s site for several years now and absolutely love being part of such a quirky, brilliant place.

We also hosted the Vanlife Awards at Lightwater Valley, where we were proud to be main sponsors and organisers. It was an amazing night celebrating some seriously talented people in the vanlife world — and we raised over £800 for The Headlight Project, which was the cherry on top.

At Easter, we also adopted Olive, our retro 1990 Swift Rapide caravan. She’s looking a little rough around the edges right now, but she’s patiently waiting for a full restoration — and yes, we’ll be sharing every step of that journey.

May
May brought sunshine — and of course Glampfest! Bigger and better than ever, with a perfectly timed heatwave, a record number of attendees, and incredible support from Mighty Events, who helped us pull it all together. Huge thanks to the whole team — absolute stars.

June
June was all about people and good vibes.
We welcomed Karl, our new Warehouse Manager, who has completely transformed our warehouse and generally made life much easier for everyone. Honestly, we don’t know how we coped before — welcome to the team, Karl!

Then James went to check out all things camping at leading global trade fair for garden lifestyle and BBQ SPOGA+GAFA 2025, Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany.
We also hosted Glampout at Ivy Bank, our chilled-out camping weekend that was exactly what it was meant to be: relaxed, friendly and full of good company, with an acoustic session and drinks on the Saturday night. We’re doing it all over again next year.

July – September
Over the year, between us and our brilliant Glambassadors, we traded at over 20 shows and festivals across the UK. It’s been lovely getting out there and meeting so many of you along the way.

October
October brought another busy NEC show, followed closely by Black Friday, rounding off the season nicely. We also launched our Luxury Winter Raffle, packed with some seriously lovely prizes that will be drawn in January.
November
Behind the scenes, November was a big one. We moved all of our stock in-house to our Ripon warehouse. With several big containers of stock arriving throughout the year there’s been lots of heavy lifting — but totally worth it.
December
As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on just how much has happened — and already looking ahead. We’ve got exciting plans for 2026, including new products and a big announcement we can’t wait to share.
Thank You
Finally, a massive thank you to every single one of you for supporting us this year. As a small, independent, family-run business, we genuinely couldn’t do this without you — and we appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Much love,
James & Sarah
(and Matilda, the real boss) xxx
