Which stove should I choose?

Our current stoves are the Glow, the Vista and the Vista Sista. They all use a 60mm flue and fit the stove jack on every current Glawning. The Gloven is being discontinued once the final units have sold.

All Glawnings from about 2022

Every Glawning since around 2022 has a fire-retardant stove jack already fitted. You add a few bolt holes for the 45-degree silicone flashing kit, trim the flashing a little at a time so the double-wall flue fits snugly, then pass the flue through.

Do I need a double-wall flue section?

We recommend one for every Glawning, Classic and AIR. It sits where the flue passes through the silicone flashing kit and protects the silicone from heat, so it lasts longer.

What can I burn in my stove?

Clean, dry wood is best. Wood-based briquettes are fine. Avoid coal, ovoids and anything else that burns very hot, because our stoves are rolled steel rather than cast iron and can warp.

Using your stove safely

Always flue the stove properly through the flashing kit and keep the tent ventilated. Never leave it unattended, and put it out before you go to sleep. We recommend using a CO alarm at all times when the stove is in use.

Can I leave the flashing kit fitted when I pack away?

Yes. Cover it with a shower cap or towel before folding so the wing nuts can't pierce the canvas. You could also swap the wing nuts for dome nuts.

Replacement stove glass and parts

We sell replacement glass pre-cut to size, plus flue sections, handles and knobs. If glass or a flue part arrives damaged, send us a photo and we'll send a replacement free of charge.
