With practice, one person can pitch a Classic Glawning in around 15 minutes. Peg out the groundsheet, raise the centre pole and A-frame, then peg and tension the guy ropes at 45 degrees. Watch the video for the full method.
Before you start
Allow longer for the first few pitches.
Choose your door positions before pegging, including which door the canopy will zip to.
The basics
Lay the tent out with the doors where you want them and peg out the groundsheet.
Assemble the elasticated A-frame and centre pole, then raise the tent from inside.
Peg out the guy ropes, with pegs angled at 45 degrees away from the tent.
Tension evenly all round so the canvas is smooth but not overstretched.
Zip on the connecting canopy and connect it to your vehicle.
Short on space? Use reducer poles to peg the tent much closer in. See Reducer poles.
